Guru Padmasambhava or Guru Rinpoche was an Indian Buddhist Scholar from the ancient Buddhist University of Nalanda, located in modern day Bihar, India.
Guru Padmasambhava is best know for introducing Vajrayana Buddhism in Tibet and establishing the first monastery in the Himalayan region.
