Wheel of Life/Bhavachakra Card
The Wheel of Life or Bhāvachakra is a symbolic representation of saṃsāra or cyclic existence. It is traditionally found on the outside walls of Tibetan Buddhist temples and monasteries in the Indo-Tibetan region, to help people remember the nature of unenlightened existence and to motivate them to free themselves from it.
Held in the mouth of Yama, symbolic of our impermanent nature and inevitability of death.
